FAMILIES FIRST

Privacy &
Photo Use

Your child can make a difference while your family chooses what is shared publicly.

Public sharing is your choice.

Photos of kids in their Raising Men or Raising Women program shirts help spread awareness and gain support to fund the program. We ask parents and guardians to choose whether their child’s submitted program photos, videos, and story may be shared on our website and social media.

Yes, you may share.

You give permission for the organization to share your child’s submitted program photos, videos, and story publicly to help tell the program’s story. Our team reviews submissions before posting.

No public posts, please.

Your child can still participate and earn equipment after completing the challenge and its verification requirements. The equipment will be mailed instead of delivered at an in-person celebration.

On the 50 Yard Challenge registration, choose separately for each child. The Special Edition and winter signup forms also ask for a photo-sharing preference. Permission is not preselected. An older registration with no recorded preference should be checked with the family before posting.

A child’s decision matters too. Tell us if your child does not want to be featured, even if permission was given earlier. Email [email protected] to change your preference or ask us to remove a photo from channels we control. We may need to verify that you are the parent, guardian, or person pictured before acting. Copies shared by others may remain outside our control.

Private review photos still matter.

The required acceptance-sign and progress photos help our team review participation and completed work. Submitting a photo for that review is separate from allowing a public post. Choosing No for public sharing does not remove the challenge’s private photo and completion requirements.

Respect homeowners’ choices as well. Ask before including them in a photo. If they decline, follow the challenge’s alternative photo instructions. Avoid showing house numbers, license plates, documents, or other private details where possible.

Alumni updates and scholarship applications have their own optional publication or media choices. A nomination submitted by someone else does not give that person authority to approve publishing a child’s photos.

What information you provide

Raising Men Lawn Care Inc., also known as Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service, uses information submitted through the website to administer the program, review requests, and contact families or people seeking help.

  • Program registration: parent or guardian contact details, child details such as birthday and shirt size, mailing information, required photos, and program acknowledgments.
  • Scholarship applications: applicant and guardian details, education and service information, statements, supporting documents, and the application’s consent choices. The Gibbs family and RMLCS board review applications.
  • Help requests: contact details, service address, location, requested help, and the sharing choice shown on the form.
  • Donation receipt requests: donor name and email, donation date, reported amount and method for money gifts, item descriptions for donated goods, and optional matching details. Our team verifies the donation before approving an emailed PDF receipt.
  • Other inquiries and updates: the contact information, photos, and message you choose to send.
  • City availability notifications: your email and selected city and state so we can notify you when that location becomes available for help requests. Signing up for this notification is separate from requesting help.

A parent or guardian should complete a child’s program signup and help the child submit program information. Please avoid sending unrelated sensitive information in free-text fields.

How information is used and shared

Program records are stored in Airtable and handled through the website, automation, and email services used to run the program. Access to submitted records is for program administration and review; a form submission does not automatically become a public post.

The public location finder lists participating locations by city and state. It does not display children’s names, home addresses, or family contact details. When help-request delivery is enabled, request details may be shared privately with participating parents or guardians in the matching area, as explained by the request form. A family’s availability is not guaranteed.

Donations and payment services, embedded videos, and other external services may process information under their own privacy policies. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses and browser data to operate and protect the website.

Questions about your records

Contact us to ask what information we hold about your family, correct a detail, change a photo preference, or request removal of information. Tell us which program or form your request concerns. We may ask for information needed to verify your relationship to the record.

You can also ask how long a particular record is needed for program administration or why it is being retained. Changing public photo permission does not itself delete a registration or completion record. For a city availability email, use the unsubscribe link provided or contact our team.
