Rodney Is Coming to Mow Your Lawn

Across the country, there are neighbors who need a helping hand—elderly individuals, veterans, single parents, and people facing difficult circumstances who simply need help keeping their yard maintained.

To help make a difference, Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service, will be visiting one city each month (sometimes twice a month) somewhere in the United States to personally mow a lawn for someone in need.

But this isn’t just about mowing one lawn. The goal is to bring communities together.

When Rodney visits a city, he hopes to encourage neighbors, volunteers, and kids in the area to come out and mow alongside him. It’s also a great opportunity to introduce families to The 50 Yard Challenge, where kids learn responsibility, leadership, and the power of serving others by mowing free lawns in their community.

How It Works

If you know someone who needs help with their lawn, you can submit their yard for consideration.

Examples of who you may nominate:

  • An elderly neighbor

  • A veteran

  • A single parent

  • Someone facing health challenges

  • A first responder/active duty military

Or anyone in your community who could truly use a helping hand. Once a lawn is selected, Rodney will travel to that city and mow the lawn.
