50 States.
50 Stories.
One Mission.
The 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Mowing Tour
Rodney Smith Jr. is traveling across all 50 states to mow free lawns and share the stories of people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
How the Tour Works
Each stop gives someone affected by breast cancer an opportunity to receive a helping hand and share a story that could encourage someone else.
Mow
Rodney selects participants in each state and mows their lawns completely free of charge.
Listen
After mowing, Rodney sits down with each participant for a short and meaningful interview about their experience.
Share
Their stories are shared to raise awareness, encourage early detection and screening, celebrate survivors, and honor those we have lost.
Who We’re Looking For
You may submit your own story or nominate someone you know. Rodney plans to select one or two participants in each state.
Currently Battling
People who are currently receiving treatment or navigating a breast cancer diagnosis.
Survivors
Breast cancer survivors, including those who are currently in remission.
Honoring a Loved One
Families who have sadly lost someone they love to breast cancer.
Support the Journey
Traveling to all 50 states requires thousands of miles on the road. Your donation will help cover fuel, hotel stays, and other necessary travel expenses so Rodney can continue reaching families, mowing lawns, and sharing stories throughout the tour. Every contribution—no matter the amount—helps move this mission forward.
Follow the 50-State Tour
Rodney will drive through the lower 48 states before flying to Alaska and Hawaii. The schedule will move quickly, and route updates will be posted throughout the journey.
Even if someone has already been selected in your state, you are still encouraged to apply. Cancellations happen, plans change, and additional interview opportunities may become available.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Mower
Rodney will complete the tour using a specially customized breast cancer awareness lawnmower. At the end of the journey, the mower will be auctioned, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to a breast cancer charity.
